Pretty much an OOB build, apart from modifying the intakes of the upper engines, using an Airfix astronaut figure as the pilot, and the RAF markings.....

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

Mr.Creak

It does look very British - in a 1960s sort of way.
At the roll out:
Aircraft Industry Bod: And here we have the latest effort from our designers.
Random Spotter Type: Er, shouldn't it have engines?
Designer: I knew I'd forgotten something!
Erk/ Tin Basher: We got some spare at the back of the shed boss. Gimme ten minutes and I can weld some on.
Bod: Well hurry up and get it done before the man from the ministry arrives. And make sure the paint's dry!
*Clang* *Fizz* *Slosh*
Designer: Yeah, that should do it... Fingers crossed eh chaps?
What if... I had a brain?

Now that is good! I like the light grey with the metal wing edges, looks just right.

NARSES2

That is nice  and I think I've been involved in some of the discussions that you allude to Nils  ;D
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Weaver

Yeah that looks good - nice one!

Would fit right into the FOAS studies.... ;)

Good use of an unusual kit. I like it in this color and marking scheme. Well done.

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

[the word "realistic" hurts my heart...]

This looks fantastic, great job! I love the colour scheme.
Amidst the blue skies, a link from past to future. The sheltering wings of the protector...

Looks great.

I picked up one of these at the Oregon show.  Thinking of doing mine in NASA markings (blue and white scheme).
