At the Ballarat NNL each year they have a special theme class.
Last year it was 63.
I decided to build something with 6 cylinders and 3 wheels.

This is the Javelin Engineering Black Widow

Power is by a Nissan L24 engine (240Z) boosted with an intercooled fuel injected turbo set up.
Bodywork (what there is) is modified '69 Chevy Camaro.

It's a single seater because who would be stupid enough to want to be a passenger in it?
Radiators and fuel tanks are inside the pontoon rear bodywork (the thing across the front is the intercooler).

It's built from a combination of scratchbuilding, resin parts, PE stuff & parts box raiding (although most of the parts ended up being modified).
It has a backbone type frame with independent suspension & disc brakes on all 3 corners.

I must admit I got a bit carried away with the detail (I usually wire the plugs but stop there).  It just seemed to want more and more as everything was on display...

And yes, I did plumb the master cylinders...

Steering turns and linkage moves although the geometry is way off.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Very creative, I'll bet this turned some heads at the show  ;D

I hope the driver/rider wears an asbestos crash helmet, his head is AWFUL close to that exhaust pipe!

Amazingly creative engineering there zenrat, and I LOVE the plumbed in master cylinders!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Go4fun

Usally cross-breeding of brands (Camaro/240Z) brings out the haters but I love this little piece of "Ya got it, use it!" art.

Would be marching to the beat of his own drum, if he didn't detest marching to any drumbeat at all so much.

TallEng

That's totally Mad!
But I like it   ;D

The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

Weaver

That's excellent - somebody should build it for real (just the sort of thing you see at custom bike shows/rallies).
