Here is a photo of three new "What ifs" I now produce in 1/1200 scale!

Top:Italian Coloniale Submarine cruiser 1929

A steam powered design with two twin 6″ guns in turrets. She would have four bow tubes and four tubes midships firing aft. Design history (in Italian) can be found here:

Middle:US Destroyer Leader 1928 Scheme 7

Friedman's Destroyer Design history discusses this concept briefly but no drawing has emerged. This is my  take on US 1928 Destroyer leader design, Scheme 7. She is 2900 tons, four-6″, four 5″/25 and 12 TT and over 400′ long. At 36kts, she would have been a close competitor of the Le Fantasque class and the Yubari.

Bottom:US 1919 Sub Cruiser (with 2-6″ , 1-3″)

Sub cruiser design that eventually evolved into the Narwal. She has two-6″ guns and a 3″23 AA. She is in a What If camo scheme as well.

Oh they are nice and teeny wargames scale as well

Always liked the Cruiser Sub idea
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
