Hi Guys ,
Been surfing the net and came across the Tu-4 Kong Jiang-1, the Chinese AWACS based on the B-29 bomber with different engines and what resembles the Hawkeye E-2 spin top.
I came across a company called "Meteor Productions" who used to sell a 1/72 & 1/48 conversion kits. I've found out that they are no longer in business ,but do you know where I can buy the 1/72 kit?

I know that the  1/72 E-2 Hawkeye kits retail at around £30 over here in the  UK, unless I scratch build .

Wow! !
That's more than a weeks pay. A raid in the spares bin might come up
trumps.

How much did you pay for it when it was new?

Doesn't matter does it ---   it's what's it worth now   ;)

They go for well over the hundred pounds on ebay when they show up

Have you seen the 'Classic Plane' 1/72nd kit. I had one several years ago, it's the Academy B-29 kit with resin parts for the turbo props and radar installation. Not cheap at 50 Euros but it's a good kit. Had to let mine go as I have no where to display anything that big (think I sold it to a guy in Brazil !)

Anyway Classic Planes web site is http://www.classic-plane-mrr.de/ Look under Kataloge for kit number CPM66. Ordering is easy (including English) and delivery is prompt, within a week if I recall.

That would be interesting to see Bungle, not that I was planning on selling what I have already.  I was just wondering what it's worth ---
