Yeh, I know about the Riley Jetstreams. I also remember seeing a Riley Dove here at Prestwick way back when.
Lycoming engines and a swept fin,     . Looked weird.
As far as I know there were also some Jetstreams converted to have the TPE-331, just like the 3M and the J31. Although just what they looked like, I have no idea.

Cats are not real.
They are just physical manifestations of collisions between enigma & conundrum particles.

Any aircraft can be improved by giving it a SHARKMOUTH!

Six were converted to that engine by Centuary Aircraft Jim, there's three photos of these in the article.  They look pretty much how you're doing your conversion, maybe the top of the intakes are a little flatter --  Look up registrations< N4770, N11218 and N12221

Here is how we are to-day, Tuesday, and the Scottish Nationals at Perth are this weekend.

The Jetstream has had coat (two off) of brown and has now been masked for the next coat (Light Green).

You know it is a bit weird trying to use a basic scheme from another airframe, in this case the Swearingen Metro TP-88. (Thanks to OGL for the scanned copy of the painting Instructions from the Bro-Plan kit).
That aircraft had a different shape and size from the Jetstream, and it was not in splinter even though it used the right colours.

At least you have the time to paint, I only have the evenings and not much time within them either! I wish you the best of luck though as your aircraft are always immaculately finished.

Absolutely Jim
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

JayBee

Woe! WOE! And THRICE WOE!

Well this morning I removed all the masking from the splinter pattern, and some areas of paint lifted off.
The paints were Vallejo acrylics, and I have never had this problem before.
The damage is mostly small bits here and there, but there is quite a lot of them.
Sufficient anyway such that I will not get this finished for Perth this weekend.
:banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

The photos below tell it all.

I will now calm my shattered nerves and get ready for the trip up to Perth on Saturday morning.

Booger that Jim. Lovely scheme though

I will bring her in her current state so that anyone who wants to can see the damage.

I am thinking of doing the same with my Yak-75 as she will not be finished for Perth either.
