That's very pretty.

Ground clearance a tad limited though.....

That's come out really well Jim

This was sorted out by modifications to the u/c legs, but sadly due to the Official Secrets Act, of which I am a signatory, I am unable to give you any more details.

Perhaps they had someone who worked for Hawker on the P.1086?

That singular aircraft had landing gear legs that extended when the engine was started, increasing the ground clearance from the 'on chocks' position where the ground crew could access the camera bay more easily.

Aye, that be a fine ship indeed, Jim!

Would look good next to my Guardrail Jetstream.

Captain Canada

Hey...SAAB stole our design ! lol. Nice work ! Love the camo on her, really changes the look of the Jetstream. The radar looks right at home there too. Oddly enough, just this morning I saw a cargo Jetstream taking of from Edmonton Intl. with one of those belly panniers and I was thinking SLAR !

Seriously beautiful Jetstream Jim. I love the splinter scheme, care to divulge how you managed it? Don't worry, I'm a signatory to the official secrets act as well - from my civil service days....

Well................................................ Oh all right. It is a seriously protected secret method, but in the circumstances I feel that I must divulge it before Wikileaks gets a hold of it.

First you paint the lightest colour, in most cases the underside.
Next, after masking that, you paint the top surface lightest colour.
Then you mask off the areas that are to remain that colour.
Go back to page three of this post and you will see the beginning. Realy it is all down to masking.
Then continue doing that with each colour, getting darker as you go.

How do you get the shapes for the masking tape?
First, put some masking tape onto a bit of plasticard  or something similar, (not pressing it down too hard), then cut out the shape that is to be in the previous colour
Then put it in place, It usually not matter too much how accurate you are this is WhifWorld when all said and done. For some measurements I confess that I do use a pair of dividers, but not always.
Then just keep going until you have used all the  colours, and remember keep ALL the masking on until you have finished the last colour.

That's it.

I would be too, but the chance of a Jetstream 31 kit is not to be sniffed at. HP still dominate many things!  ;D

Even at that price! How much was the Airfix one, 5/11p?
