That does look good
It would be interesting to see it posed on a flight deck
Along with a Phantom or Buccaneer,

The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

Yeap that does look good but then again i'm biased towards FAA aircraft

Worked out well and those tail decals have come out a treat.

Turned out much better looking than I feared it would, Kit.

Still not sure about the demarcation line for the upper surfaces but it is your Whiff, so just ignore me.  ;D ;D

Really excellent Kit, I too was a bit worried how the paint would look in the end, but you really pulled it off. I especially like the bumble bee decal, how the nacelles ended up with the natural metal and the two tones, and the tan fiberglass antennas all over the place- an often overlooked detail that many just paint over. The nose launch bar looks natural.  Glad you saw it through.

She looks great Kit.  I agree with the others, I was afraid early FAA colours wouldn't suit her but she's looking very smart indeed.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Just as an added soupcon to the build, when I was working out how to mark off the big curve of the ESDG/Sky demarcation forward of the fin I started off by putting a wide swathe of Tamiya tape in the general area and then tried cutting out the curve with a new blade.

Didn't work worth a light, it looked like a threpenny bit (apologies to those of you who haven't a CLUE what that means, just imagine a curve with flats on it, OK?) The second attempt was just as bad so I sat there wondering what I was going to use as a template to cut round when I realised I was holding it in my hand!

So it's the radius of the outline of a Tamiya 9 mm tape holder......  ;D

Some of us can remember  them!  It had a thrift plant on the reverse.   I'm told that  banks had special  dodecagon spanners to get them out of misers hands.

That looks really good it. I to was a little worried about the camouflage demarcation but it works, The type "B" roundels suit her as well
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

This is probably one of the best whiffs of this year. Everything fits quite well on the airframe, all the bits, bumps, and pods. Livery looks fantastic as well.

Mr Kit that is simply lovely, the understated colour scheme just tops it off.

Glad you all like it so much, thanks again.

While packing my models for Telford I got my EB-66 out and parked it alongside the Skysearcher as a comparison.

I'm not sure what Douglas were thinking of when they changed SO much to build the B-66, almost NOTHING is the same as the A-3! The only common bits I can see are the tail surfaces and the centre fuselage section, even the landing gear retraction method is different.

It must have been a VERY lucrative contract from the USAF to make them go to those lengths......

And frankly despite the obvious family similarity I think the A-3 is the smarter looking aircraft.

But then I often think the US Navy selects smarter-looking aircraft than the USAF (that said I still can't get excited by the F-14)
