The Rat

Replaced an old faucet the other day, and, like a typical guy, just couldn't leave well enough alone. It's a hormonal thing, I think we're just hard-wired to take things apart. Well, looky what I found:





Haven't got a use for them at the moment, but they will patiently wait in my old tackle box, just in case I do something that screams out for screening material.

There are also other water filter models (from plastic) for faucets that make beautiful afterburners or SF rocket engines "inlays".  A trip to your local DIY store can be VERY inspiring, also the electronics/electro installation department...
