Perhaps the Stars of David should have been red, though, for a different time line - one in which Israel is communist, but probably non-aligned rather than Warsaw Pact.

After all, the kibbutz movement was very left wing (at least to begin with) & very strong in early Israeli politics. A small early shift, say the Russians supplying cheap weapons & aircraft (possibly through Czechoslovakia) for the fight against the Imperialist British & to prevent America gaining an ally in the region, through Jewish American support for the Zionist Movement, by diverting that money into the Soviet Union to provide for the supply of arms, armour, vehicles, equipment, medical aid, etc.
