Just finished my final Scale Model World build for this year.

This is the BAC Eagle fighter version for the Project Cancelled stand.

It is the Airfix 1/72 kit with the Freightdog BAC TSR-2 fighter proposal set and Model Alliance decal set.

So much aircraft for so little ordnance...  ;)

BTW - what's inside of that container under the fuselage? Is it an auxillary tank, or some other equipment?

Lovely build!

Lovely build!

SLAR Sideways looking RADAR the TSR only has a small nav attack radar so for the interceptor role it fly at a tangent to its patrol area spot a target, lock on and fire the Blue Dolphin missile which was effectively a radar guided red top. All provided in a set from Freightdog Models

Dizzy, Thorvic beat me to it,
It's the Freightdog Fighter/recce set, minus the wing drop tanks.

Excellent sets for all the whif TSR's, from Freightdog, if you can get them whilst they are in stock anywhere that is!
Eagle GR4 GW1 up soon on one of my thread hijacks.
too old for a paper round, too young for me pensions, dammit, back to work then!

Dizzyfugu

Ah, thank you for the info. I read about the SLAR pack, but did not know what it would look like - and I expected the fairing to contain some interceptor equipment or being a tank.

Except for the fact that they are in the wrong scale..... :banghead:

There are, of course, two quite valid points of view on that...........
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
