Try a website called "prime portal". Detail pictures of just about anything.

Looks good!! Don't get me to lyin' but I think the interior canopy framing in the Tomcat is black. I was looking at pictures about a year ago but like I said, I could be wrong and faulty memory is at play here.

The cockpit is very basic so I want to hide it by painting inside the entire canopy. I don't want to distract too much from the rest of the aircraft.

It is pretty uhh.... sparse, isn't it? Not a bad idea! Now you have tinted glass.

Decision time. Scary stuff!

Thursday morning and evening will be varnish time. Friday morning the models go into the box, into the car and so to Telford.
The tanks are done. The Tomcat is done, I can always add the missiles another time.

Just need to spray a silver underside on the Monogram Orient Express  and apply the decals. Thank goodness it's a SnapTite kit and there's no fiddly bits to paint!
One of these things is on Ebay right now for $75

This model looks amazing - https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/hyperscale/monogram-orient-express-hypersonic-jet-with-a-twis-t41386.html

The tiny Tornado will be the final push. Lots of masking and spraying involved.

Got the decals on the spaceplane. What a pig.   Horrendous paper to deal with, lots of white smegma on the back, yellow streaks running off.
Getting them to sit correctly over all the curves and corners is a nightmare.  :banghead:

The large red stripes over the wings just about line up symmetrically, one of them tore in half. I applied some Micro Sol and some decals have shrivelled a bit. Going to sleep now and hoping for the best in the morning!

Decal situation sounds hauntingly familiar. The type of situations we have to deal with trying not to waste things.  ;D

Whilst in Bruges I went to the Beer Museum. It was very interesting and I got a drink in the bar at the end.

In the entrance area I found out that Stella Artois had a cunning way to boost sales. They would release sets of beer mats and you would have to make regular trips to a pub to collect the set. Birds, fish, cars, buildings... and airplanes!

So 8 pints of Stella to get that lot ? Could get interesting

I wonder if you could choose your beer mat or if it was like the old UK cigarette cards (that you got in packets of tea ) where there was always 1 or 2 in a set of 50 or so that was so much rarer than the others and whose value in the playground exchange was ridiculous in comparison  :-X

Must admit I've been to Bruges a few times and didn't realise there was a beer museum. Another reason to go back I suppose ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Look closely at the numbers, there's about 20 in each set! If the pub didn't put new ones out you'd never get them all.

My dad once gave me a book filled with cards from Hamlet cigar packs, all about British mammals. Still got it somewhere. He also gave me a box of random cigarette cards to sell, no idea where to start.

Mossie

I've known a few who could comfortably pick up the whole collection in a single session!  That being said, I could have made a lfair debt in my twenties.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Then there were the cards you got in packets of tea, in this case from Lyons Tea.
I still have these two albums with complete sets of cards stuck into them, in the correct places of course!
Note the price of the albums, sixpence. To the younger members of this forum that is 2.5 pence.

Both pics on the covers of those albums look  very weird.............

The fuselages of both are way too short, and the wings of the F-106 are much too wide. (I never thought I'd ever write that, but there it is.....)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

The Boeing might have been a 720 as that is the one they featured, but did Quantas operate that model?
I couldn't agree more about the 106.

IME (observed, not action) it's not for nothing the Stellas Artois is nicknamed "wifebeater".

My mum has for years collected the PG Tips cards.  She must have all the books somewhere.
