i was referring to management not knowing their donkey from their elbow.
A couple of weeks ago I got given some forms at work to fill in which I did, returning then the next day to be told management had decided they were the wrong forms and I had use a different set which I was then given.
Two days later they told me they had decided the original forms were in fact the correct ones but they'd thrown my completed set away and as they were in the "security" bin couldn't get them back so I would have to fill in and get witnessed another set.
And you wonder why Post lost money last year.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Bet you wished you'd secretly recorded that conversation ?

Must admit I was always lucky in that the couple of things I threw away that I shouldn't have I retrieved from the bin. One admittedly just as the bin men were about to take it  :o ;D

Mind you that was in the days before things were shredded, nothing we had was that important, although I did spend an interesting morning standing by a filing cabinet refusing to allow an EU Inspector access until our lawyer turned up. He sat there watching me making sure I didn't take anything out of it, both of us acting perfectly legaly and correctly. Spetd an hour or so chatting over coffee  ;D

Interesting stuff on both counts. I have a friend who's in a wee battle with his work over forms....crazy world we live in now.

When my last employers hired a new CFO, head-hunted from her firm by her former boss who was now President of my employers (Nepotism Rules OK....) she laid down some new 'rules' that filtered down to the subsidiaries world-wide. One of these was that any field employee's weekly time and expense reports HAD to be countersigned by their local manager before they were entered into the wildly complicated finance system that she'd imported from her former employers. On the other hand another rule said you couldn't countersign your own forms, so that put me in a cleft stick...

I was the 'local manager' for the  UK field engineers, and yet I also spent about 65% of my time in the field too, looking after my customers world-wide for whom I was the company's specialist engineer. So while I had to get my forms signed off I couldn't sign them myself and there was no guidance from above on how to sort that so I was rapidly getting out of pocket with weekly hotel bills of around £3-400!

Eventually, after zero response from the hierarchy, I refused to leave the house until it was a] sorted out and b] they paid me my back expenses. THAT concentrated their minds and I became the only person in the entire company who could sign off their own expenses.  ;D

RESULT!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

Nothing done today. had a few pops last night and just felt crappy today. Even after I ate I felt blah. Sometimes life is like that tho. Having a hard time at home alone. Miss my daughter in school and the realization that my son will be grown up soon as well. Oh well, time to suck it up ! I`m going to hit the shower and go slap some paint on the BoB builds, the underside of the Spit and do the first green atop the Bf.55.

Strange isn't it ? Friends felt exactly the same when their son went to Uni. They missed him like mad, he didn't miss them a jot. He did however miss the fridge and mum's washing  ;D

lol too true Chris ! And the washing part for my kid, but she's on a meal plan up there and says the food is excellent !

I got a bit of paint work done last night. I wasn't really happy with it, but it'll do. Need a few touch ups here and there and then start decaling and weathering. I'll throw a few pics on my build thread later I hope.

A wee bit done yesterday. Not as much as I'd have liked. Didn't get anything dome during the day like I'd hoped to....I went outside to water the fall Mums and ended up weeding the garden and mowing the grass ! The evening had visitors and beverages, and by the time I got downstairs to the 'bench' I was more interested in the tele....Baseball's NL wild card game, opening night for the NHL, Survivor, Ultimate Fighter ( USA vs, Europe ) and of course, Corrie !

Looks like it's going to be another 'long weekend' of getting nowt done. This is what's on the go here :

-Arenacross in town today and tomorrow, amateurs practice and qualify all day and pros at night, and we have too many friends to list participating, so we will be in and out of there.
-Daughter is coming home for Thansgiving, but her ride from Ottawa is only taking her as far as Hamilton. So of there around 2 pm this aft, and that will kill the rest of this day.
-Arenacross and the boy's hockey @ 4:30 Saturday
-Family over Sunday for dinner, boys hockey at 8:00pm
-Take daughter back to Hamilton Sunday and dinner at Mum's Sunday night

....might as well start that A400M. Because you said you wouldn't start anything until the BoB build was over.
