Cheers Chris. No stress here really. Market is good and we're in no rush. I think I've already told the story here of what happened to start this. We were buying a small plot, 5 acres. Right in the city, rolling hills, big shop, another garage, a well as a cabin. Sold our place for asking the day it went to market. Then the appraisal hit. The place was actually 4.8 acres, so none of the out buildings could be considered if the land size was under 5. There goes the bank approval and we weren't willing to not put the 20% down payment and foregoe the CMHC BS cash grab insurance, so we lost it.

Any road, we're in no hurry. Just looking. And as an aside, our place was 400k then, and is now valued around 475. Sure it's all relevant to the market we'd be buying into, but not so much when we're looking for a small farm.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

There has to be rules I suppose ? If only to keep the lawyers fed  Not heard of a similar one over here though. Doesn't mean there isn't one mind you.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Still banging away at this one. Still interested, mostly because I just love the Harrier.

Barely moving here. I should just glue the darn thing together and finish the engine bay but I'm too distracted watching the hockey. Maybe next month lol

Is that the Airfix 1/72 GR3 you're working on there Cap'n?

If so, what are all the reinforcements you're adding for please?

I sense something SERIOUSLY radical being built here!  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Captain Canada

It's the Airfix 48th scale version. I'm planning on scratch building one of the trucks I have drawn throughout the years, and making a dio of an engine swap in the field. Somat I've always been fond of, the pics of the RAF Germany Harriers in the field being serviced.

I drew this in Newfoundland in 2012. I might change the truck to somat a little more boxy.

Then I dressed it up a bit....

Over in my Cartoon thread, Pyro asked what was under the tarp. I said Helicopter engine. Sticky Fingers said Pegasus ? And the idea was born.

Drop the trailer, and the canvas cover is slid back to make the workshop/ accommodations larger, and then get to work !

Ooooh, that's some SERIOUSLY good artwork there Cap'n!

I like the idea all round, and of course you've got to model it with the wing completely off the airframe so it's not surprising you need to detail the interior of the engine bay.

I was amazed quite how large it was in there when I was helping them fit oil sampling valves to Harriers in the 70s, you could easily get 3-4 guys in there at the same time!  :o
