Revell 1/48th F16A. Had this since before I joined this happy gang 20 years ago. Can't find the instructions, decals are probably useless, used it as a test article when I first got my airbrush. But I've found some decals in the stash that may look good, so it's on the bench for real.

That's RIDICULOUS! No wonder they charge so much if they use boxes as large as that every time!  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

The last time I got a replacement from Airfix, it was a DH Beaver fuselage half, and the box wasn't much larger than the piece. The box was very sturdy, and the part was well cushioned. But then, they've been at this much longer, they know how to do it.

I got a box about that big for a bottle of about a 100 dietary supplement pills once.  I had the same reaction.

Doing the tourist thing in Shediac, New Brunswick. The fisherman statue is about life-size, the ugly thing is me, the uglier thing is the world's largest lobster.
