Painting is well underway. Typically there was some bleeding under the masking tape, a few strokes with a silver Sharpie corrected it. Matches well with the MM rattlecan I used:

Another blood sacrifice to the modeling gods. IT IS A GOOD DAY TO DIE!

Cor, that looks a handy tool, does anyone know if those Sharpie paint pens are available in the UK?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Here's the link to the UK web site, they might have a list of who stocks them: http://www.sharpie.co.uk/

WHOA! Too many projects on the bench in front of me:

Revell RCN SAR Convair Bowrider/Tradewind

Airfix DH Comet 4, probably ootb Dan-Air

Matchbox DH-125, hopefully with personalised markings for Simon Templar, The Saint

Hobbycraft CF-100 X-wing, RCAF

Academy Minicraft 1/44 F-4 Phantom, as I imagine modified by The Wooksta!, because he thinks the original is butt-ugly  ;D

Airfix bullfinches, because I like birds

Airfix P1127, started but with no idea how it will be finished

AMT ERTL NASCAR Monte Carlo, only because it was a door prize at a show

Testors Spitfire 22, Ontario Department of Lands and Forests, 50s era aircraft for cruising to look for forest fires, renamed Spotfire

AMT Star Trek Galileo 7 shuttlecraft, putting a toilet in the back, ST nerds will get the inside joke

Testors/Hawk Royal Navy Supermarine Swift

Frog/Novo Supermarine Attacker, markings to be determined, might be Belgian just because I have some decals from the Hobbycraft Canuck

Airfix 1/72 Spitfire Mk1, out of the bag, because a couple of years ago it struck me that I had never built one

Matchbox Wellesley, ootb, but the next one won't be!

Academy Minicraft 1/144 Mitsubishi Zero, annular wing (zero, get it? ;D )

Airfix 1/72 Gloster Meteor MkIII, might wind up as Tuskegee Airmen colours, probably Lee Archer's Ina, the Macon Belle

Airfix Bf-109, discovered in a German warehouse at the end of the war in British Union of Fascists markings

Airfix Commonwealth Boomerang, probably ootb

Airfix BP Defiant, RAAF tankbuster, probably renamed Bunyip

Airfix P-80, possibly another Tuskegee, but it suffered a paint disaster

And I still need to decide on something for the anthonyp build

I usually haul out the Sharpie for any small bare metal areas, landing gear oleos or prop blades for instance. Instead of shaking and stirring a paint bottle, finding just the right brush, then cleaning it afterward, just uncap the pen, make a few strokes, and you're done.

After 2 weeks of the Rat's Dojo....just uncap the pen, make a few strokes, and walk away. Uncap the pen, make a few strokes, and walk away......

Decaling on the Bowrider has begun, foul language soon to follow. Once they are finished the props and floats will be attached.

Port side decaling accomplished with minimal swearing. The calm before the storm?

Centre strut of a float is now irretrievably lost to the carpet monster. And I have a bare wooden floor!  :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
