The next 'lamb to the slaughter'! Comes with decals for British and Jordanian examples, but ya just gots ta know that I ain't going with either one! 'twill be civilian, British, rather colourful, and I will try to make my own decals. They certainly aren't going to be available for what I have in mind. And I might just hold you all in suspense until it becomes clear to discerning eyes. First one to guess gets my enduring admiration. Stay tuned...

Too early in the day, and too much haemoglobin in my caffeinestream, to get the reference, although it seems I should know. But anyway, nope.

Looks like I'll have to rework the seats, they're not exactly accurate. Excellent thread over on Britmodeler by Carlos Guate, he really did his up a treat. Not sure if I can manage that level of engine detail, but the seats should be easy. The hole for the control column seems off, should be between the pilot's knees, so a wee drill should do the trick. No collective, so that will be scratched. I found some pictures of a civilian Scout that has controls on both sides, but if other photos are correct the military ones only had them on the starboard side.

I honestly thought that I was having a mental breakdown, or maybe dementia was starting.

Getting very near the end on a model, and needed to attach two pieces, the propeller backing plates, to the propellers, before attaching the spinners. Couldn't find them anywhere. Not in the kit box, not on the bench, not accidentally in the spares box. AHA! My trash container sits right under my desk, in front of my legs, so let's tear that apart because maybe they fell in. Took over an hour - nothing. Looked under things, all over the floor, in other model boxes in case they got switched, nothing. At this point I was seriously getting worried about my mental state. At my age, 69, it's a constant whisper in the ear.

And the propellers and the spinners sat there taunting me the whole time, reminding me that things were rapidly going downhill.

I picked up a prop and stared at it in frustration. And then noticed that I had already attached the backing plates.

Tomorrow I shall buy some brandy. If my brain cells are dying off, I'll go happy.

Well, this sucks. Decided to have a look through the Airfix DHC-2 Beaver recently purchased. Everything is in there.

Except the starboard fuselage.

Not easy to scratch-build. Airfix have been contacted with a spares request, but I'm not holding my breath.  :-\

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.
