Thanks Dumaniac to confirm I am not the only one in the World working on this twin-engined 109 subject...
Well, the nose of the Unicraft kit, like the enclosed 3-view drawing, makes it look like a 3-engined plane...

I will probably keep the initial project but I have considered this 3-engined basis also:

The propeller blades are moulded separately and I have 2 kits x 3 plades per engine x 2 engines = 12 blades, that could make a 2 blades per engine x 6 engines...

The nose engine hypothesis has disappeared into putty this morning...

I have tried to fix the scale puzzle:
the single-fin fuselage is 21.3cm long and the twin-fin is 19.4cm long
That would mean Bf-109 1/42 or Bf-110 1/62
1/48 Bf-109 would have been 18.6cm long and 1/48 Bf-110 : 25.0cm

I am still puzzled. (Pleasantly ;D )

I have read the instruction sheet: "enlarged and twin-engined Bf-109 which offered a twin-tail design as an alternative".
The drawing as figures: 12.36m for the twin-tail fuselage, which means the scale is 1/64

Remember this is WhiffWorld Tophe, the scale is what YOU say it is......
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

Of course, Kit, of course... ;) I was just trying to understand before butcherizing...
The big size is confirmed by the canopy on the 3-view drawing at http://www.unicraft.biz/germ/me110m/me110m.htm :
(picture published with the authorisation of Igor)

This is different from the box art which featured a standard Bf-109 canopy.
From all that, I am going to invent my own. ;D

Corrected drawing with the Real right canopy:

And playing with the scale:

With better text explanation, sorry:

As usual, since my XP-77Z failure, I will not use the thermoformed canopy but fill the cockpit with puty and paint in black the canopy, whatever scale it will be...

Thanks dumaniac!
Well, sanding has started, at my very low speed...

Don't worry about your slow spped - I am still studying and it has seriously got in the way of witif's

Every time I am doing a cut-and=shut, and I rush into it - I stuff it up.

Have patience and go slow.

I look forward to seeing this one completed

Tophe

Thanks for the psychological support, dumaniac!

Well, PSR is puty sanding REPEAT, right?

Well, as the fuselages are almost finished, let us go on.
1: basic project of mine
2: with the new cockpits of mine (I don't want to build a 1945 Nazi warbird, nor a 1936 Nazi future-warbird, but a 2014 Civilian tourism-plane)
3: using all tail parts available, decreasing span to fit my shelves
4: new project of mine
