I managed to pick up a 2nd hand copy of Project Cancelled 2nd edition at SMW last weekend. I already have what is effectively the bible for our Project Cancelled SIG as it was this book that was the foundation for out interest in those projects that never made it into mainstream service, but thought i would snag it in case any of our members wanted a copy.

Looking for £25.00 plus P&P, payment via Paypal, please contact me via PM if interested.

Cheers

I just bought one a few weeks ago.  Thanks, though!  Great book.

Out of curiosity, what in it differs from the first edition?

Already got a copy but now have British Experimental Jet Aircraft sitting next to it which some kind souls sourced for me  ;D

Some extra info and also the author adds a number of his own comments and views concerning various events which either he couldn't or didn't make the first time (IIRC from my addition)
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

Its the whiffers old testament. and certainly worth having if you dont already have a copy (regardless of edition)
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

I have an edition, though I'm not sure if it's first or second, off the top of my head. In fact, I was just reading it yesterday night and trying to explain to my skeptical wife why the P.1103 was a thing of great beauty, tragically cut down before its time. (Although what's with such a huge plane only carrying two missiles?)

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

Gas-guzzling turbojets, ground-based GCI radar and nuclear war thinking, basically. You can't mount standing patrols with a reasonable amount of money and aircraft, you don't get much warning of the incoming bombers, and by the time you get into firing position on them, there's only time for one or two shots before they're in position to drop their little bundles of instant sunshine. After that it's academic: shooting them down on their way home is pointless because (unlike WWII) they arn't coming back tomorrow and neither are you nor anyone else....
