No arguing with the truth...    I stand corrected and have learned something new in the bargain.

I learn something new on this site a couple of times a week. The members have a very large spread of knowledge covering many spheres of interest

Modified the mudguard from a Tamiya ZX12-R...

... and started connecting the controls :) I made the handlebars from a piece of stock aluminium tubing. Now they match the scratchbuild looks of the forks

Most of the bike is done, actually, just a couple more cables (throttle, clutch) and some touch-up work with paints and washes. Also on the list of final things to do is a rear light (going to use one of the original indicators for that) and a numberplate.

And probably a hundred other things that I forgot at the moment. ;D

Thanks 'Hunter!

Almost there:

Just two more parts to add (brake fluid reservoirs front & rear) and it's done. So I thought a teaser pic was in order ;)

This weekend I will be taking some proper pictures of this thing, but for now: here's the endresult of the build.

Thanks for following this one

Wow.....what a beauty ! The calipers look weird tho.....like they're on the wrong way

Thanks Cap'!

I like taking comformaty and kicking it up the thingy.

As do some motorcyclebuilderchappies...

;)

Nice. A buddy of mine has an English wheel, a pipe bender, welders and every other thing from a mill to a lathe to a press etc etc....and we often talk about doing these things. But he goes on too many benders and now the roof is collapsing in his shop as he wastes his money on other 'pleasures'. A real shame.....

I'd make him an offer, so he can waste even more money, and I would start building stuff. It's one of those things I've never done, but just know I can do. Much unlike flying helicopters or figuring out my photocamera...

Captain Canada

I'd rather work with him....besides, he'd never go for it, a lot of the stuff was his fathers. I'm sure you could do it as well....it's still model making, just in a larger scale !

Not quite though; if a part of one of my scale bikes snaps off no-one dies...

Anywho: Here come the promised pics

It was a nice end-of-the-year project, thanks for watching

You need to add some wear and weathering to the tyres. If you did that,it would look "real" !!!  Just an outstanding job,my friend. I hope you will do some more bikes for us to enjoy.
