What has happened, they seem to have disappeared, which is shame.

IIRC the owner, and sole operator, is quite ill and has had to scale back his O&O work. TSRJoe may know more.

But I agree it's a shame, both for him and us modellers, as he did some SUPERB stuff. I have his Hunter T7 conversion which is really great, and I used his TSR2 slipper tanks on my 'Time Warp' Eagle B1 Special.

Thanks for letting me know. I hope he recovers. Van

I agree it is a shame as well because Campbell dose some unique stuff. All of his products are of the highest quality and many people on this site have bought his goods and want to buy more.

Oh now this is just wrong.  Wrong, I say!  WRONG!

Gaddammit!  I just bought an Airfix Buc as I'd heard it was better than the Matchbox kittings I already had.

And now here's this site with all sorts of 1/72 Aftermarket Buccaneer goodness!

That's just wrong!

Ah, but that is one of the laws of the Universe - you will always find, after you're bought something better, all the gubbins to make the old one as even better again!  ;D ;D

I'm annoyed 'cause I was desperately looking around for some Red Top missiles and O&O were AWOL and now I've finished the build, they've reappeared with their Red Top and Firestreak sets!   :banghead:

I received a phone call from Campbell this evening, the owner of Odds and Ordnance. He told me that he has been unwell for the last month and will probably be unable to fulfil any orders for probably the next couple of months do to ill health.

I am sure everyone here along with myself wishes him a speedy recovery.

Best wishes to Campbell - he does some excellent stuff.

Not wishing to dwell on the negative, but if he finds that he's unable to continue with the business, I hope that provisions have been made or are being considered for the products to remain available by one means or another. It would be a terrible shame for them to disappear after all the effort he's put into them.

Yup, hope he makes a full and speedy recovery.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

bit of a news flash here concerning Odds & Ordnance.

I attended the Hamex Model Market this morning over the county line in Hanslope. Alec Smith, he who took over the Alleycat range was there trading.
While talking to both Alec and our own Colin (of Freightdog fame). Mr Smith decided to pass on the the following.

QuoteAs of this week the Odds & Ordnance range has been acquired by Alleycat.

The range will be undergoing some reorganization prior to its return to the market, and Alec says he has plans for the range to carry on and to grow. So it may be a while before the range appears on the Alleycat website or show trade stands.

Alec hopes that Campbell Patterson (the now former Mr Odds & Ordnance) will stay involved as an advisor and/or pattern maker.

I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Now that's GREAT news!

Campbell had some great ideas and I hope he continues to do so.
