Thank you, Guy. Just so you know, I'm an awful copycat and unless you threaten me with a copyright suit I'm going to incorporate these supply sockets into my build.  ;D

As to the seatbelts this is what I ordered from Radu Brinzan:

Yeah, I know, it's Luftwaffe seatbelts. So?  ;D ;D

Go for it!

If I can give people ideas or inspire them it's as big a thrill for me as making a great model. (Although, not quite as big a thrill as winning a Whiffie! ;D )

Nice belt unit & quite suitable for the ethos of the Germanic-influence sub-context of Ma.K.

I was going to buy a (Tamiya?) 1/20th F1 racing harness set but financial constraints at the time put a swift end to that idea.

Thank you, my friend!

Yeah, Mak has serious German connotations (after all its originator started with Luft 46 -- which proves beyond a doubt that soft drugs eventually lead to hard drugs ;D) but the Falke is supposed to be Merc rather than SDR. But hey, this is whatif, right? I'm going to have this pit done in RLM 66, purists to the contrary, and I'm still toying with the idea of adorning the bird with balkenkreuz.  ;D

The Tam seatbelts would be a nice alternative. Perhaps a little on the flashy side...  ;D

Yeah, well, you know pilots; they just love their bling! ;D

Yeah, maybe. But still too flashy for THIS kind of seat:

;D ;D

Has this Falke seen action? You bet!  ;)

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Sticky Fingers

Looks great! Did you use the 'Salt-Technique' for that?

MichelC

Thank you, guys! Glad you like it. And sorry for the lack of explanation. I usually do explain but this time I was in so much of a hurry I forgot to take pics!  :o

No, it's not the salt technique. Did it with Maskol (Mr. Masking Sol from Gunze to be precise) applied with a sponge in two successive layers. I'll explain in more detail when I'll do the rest of the pit the same way.

I have to disagree with you on using that excellent set of seat belts. I think the contrast of the two would really set them off and be quite realistic as well.  Great work so far on this.

Hi Father Ennis,

Which seatbelts are you referring to? The F1 belts from Tamiya or the Luftwaffe ones from Raud Brinzan?

Yeah, right, sure. Was it 28 or what was the number of kits Kow Yokoyama used to kitbash the Falke in the first place? So why not add a few more?  ;D ;D ;D

Plus a Yakult bottle and some table tennis balls...

I was talking about the German seat belt.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean. I was planning on using these. Are you suggesting I should not?

I think he thinks you should use the Tamiya 1/20th scale belts.

Me? Although I don't know their scale, I think the Radu Brinzan belts are fine!

My 2nd Falke, by the way, is going the be a reconnaissance bird, with the Excimer laser cannon modified for the purpose. However, there is a Fledermaus build over on Beyond the Sprues which has got me thinking about doing it as a 2-seater in 1/48th scale!

Man, I wish I was at home & able to work on my models! :banghead:
