It could easily have ended at "a few wires" bu-ut ...

I think someone got a touch of AMS ... or, perhaps, merely carried away in the moment. ;)

I saw one of these built up a few years ago on a diorama base with rare earth magnets built into the hull and the base set up so they repulsed.  This made it hover about 3/8" above the base.  It was tethered by a fuel line.
It was an awesome piece of work but I don't think it had this level of detail.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

AMS? Me? Of course! My MD says there's no cure. :o

Zenrat, that's a cool one. Revell came out with a bunch of planes with magnets. Magic Flight, or something like that, they were called. I didn't think you could use the trick on a Falke, though, as the kit is pretty heavy. I've something else is mind for my own Falke but I intend to use the magnet trick for another build, not sure which yet.

$h!#! I'm positive I have some photo's of that but they're not on Photobucket or this lap-top.

Which means they're trapped on a PC at home, where I can't get to them! :banghead:

I'm pretty sure I saw it at model expo and that there was also an article in ModelArt Australia.

I know the model below

floating on a fuel line, but without any magnets.
I myself did something similar with a smaller model, "hanging" on a figure touching it with one hand. The stand in fact was a hidden structure from the model through the figure into the base made of a bicycle spoke.
The model shown is from the Maschinenkrueger forum.

zenrat

Love the camo job on that.
I'll have to dig out all my old copies of ModelArt Australia and have a look for it.

The camo is based on the colours used by FAS (Salvadoran Air Force) for their Corsairs. This camo is usually connected with the "100-hours war" between Salvador and Honduras, but in fact the yellow bands and eventually the ochre colour were used postwar only, AFAIK.

MichelC, sorry for spamming your thread! :-\

zenrat

Wow, Corsair looks great in those colours.

No problem. I'm always happy to get ideas from other people's work. This camo is

WOH! :o

Looks pretty damned good for a Yakult bottle!

Note: Kow Yokoyama, the designer behind Ma.K, used a Yakult bottle as the framework around which the engine was constructed.
Once you know that, it's easy to see.

Thank you Old Wombat!

Yakult bottle, ping-pong balls and P-38 booms are the most recognizable items. The rest of what went into it I'm not sure. Lol

I believe there are parts of a car kit in there somewhere but I don't know what vehicle or what scale.

Ah, here we go! Knew Brian Krueger would have something to help - a complete list of everything that went into making the original Pkf.85 Falke!
