I've got a mate who's selling three Airfix 1/48 TSR.2's at £25 each, plus postage.  He might be willing to knock a few quid off if anyone wants more than one.

He's in the UK, looking to sell in the UK but my be willing to send overseas.

He mentioned some Italeri B-58's as well, I'll get some more details from him.

Let me know if you're interested.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I wouldn't mind some details of the B-58's, if you please... ;D ;D ;D

Shame they weren't 1/72 . I'd have had all three in the real scale. :-\
too old for a paper round, too young for me pensions, dammit, back to work then!

Mossie

You can get the 1/72 kit for that price at rrp , just in the Manga boxing.  It even comes with the original decals.  You'll find it even cheaper on ebay or Amazon.

Hi all,

These are still going.  I've been asked to open it up to offers, which will be considered.

Do you know what size/flavour of offer he was thinking of...don't want to offend straight away!!

Mossie

No probs, don't worry about offending.  I think he wants to recoup as much as possible of the original price he paid for them, hence the asking price of £25.  I think he's not likely to build them but at the same time doesn't want to let them go for pennies and isn't really sure what the going rate is.

Don't worry about offending, he can only say 'no' and it can start as the basis of negotiation.  I'll feed everything back, apologies if it takes a little time as I have to act as the go-between here!

i wish i could afford these :(

I know, part of me says 'BUY' but as I have four 1/72 scale ones in the stash already (and a 1/144 one) they would end up as loft insulation for a long time ...plus if I did build them (and I'd oh so like to!) where would I put them!  :-\
Oh to be whiffing again :-(

deathjester

Might give those a miss, after I read a review of the kit on  the 'Unofficial Airfix Modellers Forum', which started out like this   ,

'...This is one of those that I started and decided it was so horrible that I would put it away in the hope that it was made of bio degradable plastic. Sadly, this has not turned out to be the case and so I'm going to have build the thing after all....'

However, are those B-58's still available?  How many are there, and would he take a fiver each for them?

Mossie

The B-58's are the Monogram 1/48 kit.  I doubt he'll take a fiver each, but I'll ask.

Oh, I see!  I thought it was the 1/72 Italeri...well, its a start of a negotiation, like you said!

Cheers for doing the running around!
