Now I know this is very, very early....but.

I booked the Holiday Inn today for the Friday/Saturday and they are showing very limited room availability. Now this may well be because they don't release all rooms this far in advance but I thought I'd better let people know.

Also I noticed that some of the more outlying hotels (Premier Inn at Donnignton for instance) are charging the same rates as the central hotels for 2014 unlike this year. Again may just be a symptom of a year in front and their systems or maybe they think it will be as busy next year as this.

Anyway just thought I'd let everyone have a heads up

Likely stopping at the same gaffe in Shrewsbury anyway.  There isn't a Marriot in Telford.

Not really Kit. If you can sell all the rooms you put the price up, if you can't you put them down. It's standard commercial practice and every company in every field will get whatever the market will stand for its products/services, market forces. Many Government's have tried the other system and it didn't really work

We'll have to agree to differ on that Chris, I'm of an opposite opinion.

I've made my booking for the Telford Uni Campus, same as last year and just as cheap. Only the other side of the motorway near the Premier Inn by the station.

There are some B&Bs in Telford but if hotel prices continue to rise it might be cheaper for me to drive home each day.... :banghead:
