Endzeit - Peterbilt 353 "Zombieplough"

There's something new for you.
In addition to my Porsche "Zombinator" I use an old model of an US-towing-vehicle without trailer.

This is the model, I use:


O.k., I'd deassembled the Peterbilt but in opposite to the Porsche it were much more parts.
So I deassembled part by part or into groups.
For example: The driver's cabin was completely deassembled but the Diesel-engine I kept together as a complete/unified part.

Using some of my collected plasic-bags – think over, before you throw something into the litterbox, if you can't use it sometimes-  I stored the parts.
Now the overview:


Deassembling, I see a fault.
I have 3 axes with 10 wheels.
But no spare wheel.

Hmmm!
Now, I don't re-fix the 1st rear-axle, put the axle and the 4 wheels as spare-parts ON the truck.
The Peterbilt never will tow a trailer, and with some 1.000 kg of Porsche and roundabout a ton of equipment the now single rear-axle won't be overloaded.

Using my precision-saw, I extracted the driver's door from the cabin. I will decide later, if I show it open or not.


A little fumbling in between.

I started making the two pumpguns.
One will be part of the Porsche and the other will stay in the truck:

Above the "bigger" parts of the one, below the shell of the other.
To do the fine work, I'd assembled it, because otherwise it will be much too gropy!
Equipment to aim, trigger and it's guard will be added, too.

A break-action-gun (horizontal twin-barrel) and two pistols will join the arsenal.
The  pistols will be designed close to the Walther P99, the standard arm of the North-Rhine-Westphalian Police and will be found at each corpse of a policeman (if there wasn't someone faster).


Btw, two machetes will be build, also.
The dimensions are from the net... you'll find a lot of answers, if you ask the right way.

As for throwing parts away. Never ! Toss 'em in a box as you never know when and where you can use it !

So it will carry the Porche?
Then you have to have some means to get a car onboard.
A couple of random ideas...
- if you want spare wheels, keep all the axles but do one of them with only single wheels. I'm pretty sure some real trucks have that kind of arrangements.
- A big truck could also carry a big living/fighting area on the back. A camper truck.
- For weapons, a scoped hunting rifle would complement the short range weapons that you have so far.

Especially for the idea of the both-side-single-tire-axle!! This way, I got my painfully missed spare-tires AND have a good view of the truck and still a halfway-perfect payload-capacity!
O.k., I will think over a rifle for bullits with a scope... might be a good idea.
Btw., the truck will keep it's sleeper, but with the Porsche on it's back there will be no space for an additional living/fighting area, nor space for a box for additional equipement... BUT: the truck's owner is inventional!
He will weld some kind of framework at the truck's back in a way the Porsche can be placed under the selfmade storage compartement.

The FMTV-series and M-35 and M-923 families of American military cargo vehicles use super single rear axles, along with some variations on the civilian-side I've seen.  And I think MAN and the Unimog variants now do as well.

There is something new!

The guns are ready (sorry for the crappy light, normally the rifles aren't shining!):

It was fumbling!
At this moment a special thanks to my MD, who is my source for syringe needles in every length and diameter.

And the bush-knifes are ready also:

I have made two different (in lenght and hilt [form and color]).

The problem was the material.
My brain was smoking until it makes "click": I have high-quality steel at home – also in the right dimension!
A modern multi-blade razor.

These blades can be extracted (by using little power with a forceps) and can be cutted by a common manicure-scissor.
And: You can see, the machetes are functional.

A lot of busses use one dual wheel rear axle and one single wheel rear axle. I believe the dual wheel axle is the drive axle and the single helps with the extra weight.

Awesome work on the guns, love the one that's cocked open. And the knives are just awesome !

As for a spare, I wouldn't worry about it. If you keep the extra axle you'll have 4 'rolling' spares...any one of the duals can be split and used as a front or back. Besides, there will be so many wrecks laying about, with a hydraulic jack and an air compressor they could be your in a matter of minutes !

I have an idea I got from some of the trucks used to haul race cars. It involves building a box onto the back of the sleeper with side braces that you can get to from in the sleeper. Also a sliding' rear balanced' ramp with hydralic or electric motor(s) to push it back then pull it fully forward. The weight of the Zorsche might tip it forward on it's own once it hits in front of the balance point on the ramp. A real 'Grab it on the run' option.

Having a truck to collect cars is a good idea. One of those things from Walking Dead that kinda bugged me. They should have been collecting cars....for all sorts of reasons !
