Sticky Fingers

After the Monkeyball I thought it was high time to create a winged thing again. Been a while. So here goes:

For years I've had this fuselage half of a 1/72 Me109 on the desk, using it to check the translucency of one paint over another and that sort of stuff, thinking I'd lost the other half one way or another. Most other parts of that Me109 have been used in other projects and I never gave it much thought anymore. So imagine my surprise (must be the miracle of Christmas or sumptin') when I opened a spares box of car parts and the other halve lay right on top! Well, that's what I get for cleaning up my desk: I'll seldom find my stuff again

So I replaced the carparts-box and got one of the airplanes ones out to see what I could do with my newly found fuselage. I also got out the old chainsaw and black&decker drill and started choppin' and drillin'

And this is what I've come up with so far:

There will be prop blades on that newly added front bit (which I believe is one of the exhausts of a 1/72 Sepecat Jaguar) and lots of other things but there's only so much hours in a day.

Hope you like it, I know I do.

Cheers,
Sticky

Hmmm - certainly looks good.

You need an excuse for the tail layout I suspect: how about it's a parasite fighter designed to fit under/in some giant Amerika-Bomber-like thing?

My thoughts as well
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

The pilot wouldn't need one, he'd sacrifice himself for the glory of the Fatherland...........
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Made a filter for the airscoop (just because I thought it'd look cool) and raised the cockpitwalls somewhat to lessen the gap between fuselage and canopy.

Nevermind the putty, still trying to master that. Of all the parts of this hobby it's the one I always dread the most. I even prefer decalling, and I hate decalling  It's mainly because of the way I plan these sort of builds, i.e. not. If I hadn't glued on those exhaust pipes, for example, sanding the wingroot would have been a lot easier...

Now, anyone know where I can find a set of 5 or 6 seated German crewmembers, like a bombercrew? No, seriously. And I don't mean seated in gardenchairs  ;)

Having a rear part at the nose is certainly an

Better be a worthy mission, then. Otherwise the Fatherland could ill afford to lose another DB engine ... or a pilot with enough hours to be put on a fighter.
