It's the Airfix boxing. I haven't opened it yet, but I'm sure others here can answer your question ;D

I was just looking at one of them - packaged up with paints as a starter set.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Airfix 1/72 Messerschmitt Bf109E-4.  Not usually into 109's, bought it on a whim.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

On a last-minute trip to Derby today (for an interview at the university) I stumbled across Galactic Models (in an arcade in the Cathedral Quarter), and liberated an Airfix Lancaster B.II from their shelves. I'm considering a 1930s version, with fabric surfaces, open gun positions, downgraded engines (Daggers?) and possibly a fixed undercarriage. That will free up the lovely-looking Hercules engines for other projects (I'd been looking for a source of decent Hercs for ages, and these will do very nicely indeed). I was torn between variants - they had all three Airfix types, as well as a pair of Revell ones - but the radials swung it.
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

If you're using Daggers, I'd suggest using the B.III - the Daggers will fit the Merlin firewall better.

But keep the B.II - there's a Lincoln conversion coming and it'll be based on that kit.  Alternatively, use it as a basis for a Lancaster VI if you can get some Merlin 85s.
