From shapeways the first half of the IHP Malta detail parts, quite impressed with them so far.

Think i may look at some of the aircraft for populating carrier groups next

From the BIG H in Lowestoft

1 x 1/72 Airfix Vickers Valiant to go with the reconnaissance/tanker kit I bought previously. It was on sale at 50% off so how could I resist  ;D

1 x 1/72 Hawker Hurricane Mk1 (fabric wing) to be an export aircraft but not to those who actually got it  ;D

1 x 1/72 Eduard masks for an He111-H6

1 tin Xtracolor X127 FS15414 Blue

I know it's in a book I have around here somewhere....

Finally remembered to re-new my Airfix club membership,
As a result the stash has been joined by the Swordfish/Hurricane double boxing.
Also included was a voucher for £10 ;D result  might have to spend
That on a swift or two when they get released

And.... Thinking of Swordfishes might the RAF have used them for Army Co-operation
Or Torpedoing things instead of the Vickers Vildebeast/Vincent?

The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

A Matchbox Gloster Gladiator on ebay for just EUR 1,-!
Postage is way more expensive...  :-\

In one of the boxes with the window in the back with the opening ends?  A kit from my past - I have fond memories of those small Matchbox kits.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

No, in the final Matchbox boxing (black with yellow/orange stripes). But at least the original decals are included - the Swedish markings might come in handy...

Howard of Effingham

a couple of the new airfix lightning F6.

also, one each of AFV 1/35 scorpion / scimitar CVR[T]'s

as for TallEng's ideas about a fairey swordfish as a RAF army co-operation a/c or torpedo a/c? i'd say the former
idea would be more amusing and obscure. still an RAF swordfish with a torpedo could have been a useful asset in
parts of the malayan campaign of late 1941...

...or with an ASW radar underneath and rockets under the wings - the Matchbox kit contains respective parts.

Takom 1/35 St. Chamond (Early with Iron Mask Man), might convert the latter into

from IHP models a 1/700 HMS Malta aircraft carrier. its a big monster quite a bit larger than the earlier Audacious class (HMS Ark Royal IV) something nearer the US Midways in size and role. Lovely casting, just awaiting the 2nd set of additional shapwatys parts to complete the basic ship kit. Now torn as to how i build her, as intended from the drawings with a late 40s look, like Eagle or Ark Royal, which would have had a similar time line and see the first generation FAA jets along with the early angled deck. Could be brave and do it like David Hobbs sketch of a modernised Malta to class A standard as per Victorious, Hermes and Eagle with the 2nd generation jets ?

Be brave!!  Go for a full angled deck with Scimitars, Vixens and an early Bucc or two.

Mossie

Be braver, buy a second kit!!! ;D. Whichever way you do it Geoff I'm looking forward to seeing it, the base kit looks very nice.
