Thanks for that Mr. Weaver Sir. I suspect it'll be WAY down my projects list so I've printed out your post and put it in the box.

Actually it turns out it's not Dutch, it's Belgian, and it has one of those amazing schemes mastered by Danny Coremans, the 2009 Tiger Scheme, and the whole thing is done with decals!  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

A bit of a disappointing experience.....L'arsenal USA. Almost every single item ( 7 out of 9 ) I wanted Out of Stock. Sheesh. Luckily they did have the 350 Sunderland, which is what I was really after, x2. I plan on finishing the Pine Island project, only with a way cooler flying boat

I'll see if I can get the other bits from that hobby store that sandiego mentioned in his hospital boat thread.

While in line astern with Mrs_PR19 doing her monthly round of the Chepstow charity shops (there's ZILLIONS of them!) I found a Revell 1/72 RNLAF F-16 kit in one of their special schemes, still with the makers seals in place, for £2.65!  :o

I don't really like F-16s but it would have been rude not to get it.  ;D

If it's anything like the Revell F-16 I tried to build last year, take NOTHING the instructions say for granted. It tried to have me fitting the throttles the wrong way around (amongst other things) which would have makde it impossible to fit the cockpit tubs. Plenty of extra support needed for the latter as well,  and that goes for the u/c bays too..

I have built several of the Revell 1/72 F-16 kits and never had a problem with them. Probably the best 1/72 F-16 kit available.

As to-day, Christmas Eve, is also my birthday I got some stuff, not a lot, from wife and son, but they do know how to please.

From SWMBO:
An extendable monopod for the camera, nowadays rebranded as a "Selfie Stick".
And Luftwaffe over Scotland byLes Taylor. Looks absolutely fascinating.

From Son:
Guardians of the Galaxy,
The small LEGO model of the jet from The Avengers. This is a small model that was never on sale but was given as a promotional item. He managed to find it on E-Bay.

I am a very happy bunny, albeit a little bit older, but as the well known quote states

My first kit for December, Revell 03985 1/72 Sea Hurricane Mk.IIC.

Captain Canada

Stopped at my LHS for the obligatory Christmas pop. Zip. Zero. Nada new from Airfix. Getting frustrating. Prob gonna go online for that.

Did walk out with a six-pack og Humbrol tins : All matt-
24 yeller, 29 dark earth, 34 white, 66 EDSG ?, 67 tank gray, and 102 light olive.

Also grabbed the Academy 72nd scale P-51C. Love these kits. Not sure ( and don't care ) about the accuracy, just love all the fine details and quality of fit, plus for 12 bucks I get 2 kinds drop tanks, bombs, rockets, some spare exhausts and a free Willys !
