The Wooksta!

Won on ebay:
Ventura Spitfire V/VIII decals.

Noticed I'm bidding on a second.  Not entirely sure why, although the sharkmouth could be handy.

What's it like Geoff

Well its better than the Italeri kit as its engraved and has decals for the lighter shaded panels, but it doesn't have the Pylons and weapons bay of the other kits, leaving it some what clean. Its the usual shiny Hasegawa plastic with the panels lightly engraved to aid with the decal placement, but they look a little odd as its a shape in a clean area of plastic.
Compared with the Academic kit that fins and wings look about the same, the nose cone is less pointed and the fuselage appears to be a tad wider than the Academy kit but not as fat as the Italeri so we have in effect 3 different shaped F-35A's in 1/72 although you could get away with posing the Hasegawa with the Academy as they look similar until compared close up.

I'll have to get one, thanks.

A cheap lot of Master Craft models, including a PZL 11, a PZL 24 and a PZL 37 Los bomber. Surely not highlights of the model kit industry, but good for mods. I already envisage the Los on floats...

Howard of Effingham

from the hinckley show last sunday....

From Chrisonord's stash clearance:

Revell Mig-31
Matchbox Douglas Skyknight

Both 1:72, of course. The Foxhound might well become a Fairey Delta IV or V. Think late '70s/early '80s Strike Eagle equivalent? Skyknight might get a photo recce conversion, or be a Genie-armed Canadian interceptor?
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

I've bult 2 of the mastercraft SU22's and I thought they were decent kits to build... The decals tended to split very easy though.

Is the Revell MiG 31 the IBM kit or the Eastern Express one? I've built the IVM version and it was 'challanging' in places...I've got the EE version in the stash. Got it a Telford one year with the EKFG's blessing....

Yeap the newer boxing of the Mig-31 based on the ICM kit is alot nicer than the older version developed in the far east. The latter has some uses whiff wise but looks rather poor in comparison to the newer kit as Mig-31s go.
