A resin conversion set that is supposed to allowed to midify a Kyushu JW1 Shinden from the prop-pusher into the projected jet fighter - from Russia, and I suppose it is a not 100% licensed recast of the Hasegawa conversion parts that came with a bomber/fighter combo so time ago. We'll see, it bears potential, anyway.

Passed a model shop on the A1 today so thought I would pop in.

No sign of Aircav while I was there but didn't have long as I was in the truck.

I did manage to pick up the latest boxing of the Revell 1/72 F-16C ''Solo Turk'' and the new Tamiya 1/72 F-16C 'Block 50'.
Chris.

An Academy kit combo: a 1/72 Spitfire Mk.XIVc & Typhoon Mk.ib as double feature in one box - at 16USD and free postage that's not too bad... The Spitfire will lose its Griffon engine as a transplant organ, no plan the Tiffie yet. Maybe Belgian...?

I've got that sheet too, and I think the stuff in the bottom right hand corner may be for an F-102 or -106.

Wasn't it one of the freebies that came stapled to the centre pages of an issue of SAM?

No it's not unfortunately. Looking back at the ebay listing its by a company called Modelmark who I have never heard of nor can I find anything about them on the web :(

Aaaaah yes! They did some good stuff way back when. I've got a few of their issues, a couple of which were sheets for the Yellowjacks and Red Arrows when they flew Gnats. You can build EVERY one of both team's aircraft from the two sheets, some of which are the same airframes of course.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

Three RAF rubber ducks, red, white and blue in flying helmet and scarf.

From Cleethorpes Airshow, for the kids, of course. ;)  Saw these and immediately thought Radish could do with some for Biggles.
I like the sound of them.  got any pics?

As promised:

Quack!!!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Is that the 2 component stuff? If so, there are two versions around, one in ochre and another in teal - they differ only in "open" time, though. Excellent stuff, IMFO, for sculpting, less for large areas (e. g. on car bodies).

I've built 6 or 7 Academy Typhoons before the Airfix kit came out. Builds well and I like it, although the new tool Airfix is better.

Must admit I haven't thought of a Belgian Typhoon (done French, Italian, Aussie, USAAF and a few others though) but do have plans for a post war Belgian Tempest

I also considered a post-war use, or, alternatively, a machine that was sent to Belgish Congo - maybe in a mid stone/dark green/azure blue livery?

Why ?????

Be better waiting for the Xtradecal RAF 2014 Update set X72216 and use the Revell kit with Colins update set rather than the acient Tornado prototype
