Modeling isn't just about how good the gluing or painting, etc. looks. It's also about how creative and imaginative you can be with a subject.
My modeling philosophy is: Don't build what everyone else has done. Build instead what nobody has seen or done before.

WHAAAT!

I didn't know there was a kit of that car in 1/25 in ANY version!

The GT Howmet crashed into the bank at Druids right in front of me during the 1968 BOAC 500 race at Brands Hatch. The wastgate jammed closed and the poor hapless driver arrived at the sharpest corner on the track at full throttle! I happened to be standing on the top of the bank at the exact spot that he hit and we could look directly down on him as he threw himself out of the car while the turbine screamed away at a zillion rpm!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

When you see lists like this you begin to wonder if there's anything in our hobby the after market boys don't provide, as long as you know where to look *

* That's a great point about this thread. No matter how long you've been in this hobby there's still plenty of stuff out there that you don't know about, and this thread helps fill the gaps.

I just wonder if anyone has bought a kit, then gone and got all the extra's, resin replacements, corrected parts etc, assembled it and had the complete original kit left in the box ? Bet you could come pretty close to it
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Well these must be the most niche aftermarket products a think of:

They'll be moulding beer glasses with various levels of beer in them soon!  :o

Not strictly stash growth, but I just bought a compressor and air brush and got a two hour tutorial as well. Hoping it'll improve the finish and speed up completion of my work bench
too old for a paper round, too young for me pensions, dammit, back to work then!

I can think of plenty of stuff that STILL hasn't been made yet for aftermarket accessories.

Those are the same ones that kitbasher mentioned above, and they're bottles. I meant glasses that you can drink out of.
