Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

3off 1/72 early lightning F.1/F.3 resin conversion set [for use with the newish airfix lightning F.2A]

absolutely lovely and very easy to use. these sets enable me to start my lightning T.4/T.5 conversion series of models. i'm just too tight-fisted to buy the new sword kits, but given i have three lightning T-bird vacform
fuselages hardly need to.

i also have the other two 1/72 revell rescue boats i ordered last week awaiting pickup at antics coventry.

I'm jealous.

Rather even more jealous about the space you have to put (display?) it somewhere...

The Wooksta!

From ebay:
Collection of Spitfire wrecks and various bits of wreckage.

Most of it is old but I think I can do something with it.

Display it?  I don't even have room to build one...

Airfix 1/72 Fairey Battle. This will be a 1940 Hendon Airshow "silver wings" build. Just need to find the 12 Sqd markings now.

In looking through the various boxes of transfers I glanced through the post 1950 box, just to complete the search really, and found I had a rather nice Model Alliance sheet for Tornados. Included is a 12 Sqd example so although it's probably not the right style of squadron badge for the period it will be going on a Battle appearing at Hendon in 1940  ;D

Hit Warren Kerfoot's for a load of scenic/building stuff before he closes tomorrow. I have various diorama ideas, but it's always hard to know exactly what you might need in advance isn't it?

My Auntie has a mobility scooter, so I'm going to paint one of them up in her colours and give it to her... ;D

If I can find a 1/76th chequered-flag waver, I might do both of them having a race....

Just back from Model Expo.  I resisted all the new stuff downstairs but at the swamp & smell upstairs got the following;

Airfix SM 79 (old red stripe box - decals are shot but that's not a problem)
Hasegawa Curtis Seagull
Hasegawa Grumman Mohawk
Super Model Fiat CR-32
Matchbox Curtis Helldiver (2 colour kit - decals shot but again not a problem)
Hasegawa US Air to Ground Missiles (incomplete but heck it was $2 and not much has been used)
A 1/76 tank kit box labelled "Aircraft Weapons" brimming with bombs, missiles, rocket pods & drop tanks ($5 & enough on it's own to equip zenrat's flying circus for the foreseeable future).

That's not to far from the truth. I swear some of them do that in Croydon's Whitgift Centre. Downright dangerous at times.
