after a decent quaterly bonus at work I treated myself to one rather large addition that arrived today.

From the Amodel stable via the big H

1/72nd scale Tupolev Tu-134 CrustyA (the Aeroflot boxing)
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Size (of the stash) matters.

And what are you going to do with THAT then?  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

From ebay, bodyshell and wheels from a Tamiya 1/32nd scale Monster Bug.

Bodyshell for a mickey-take project I have in mind, wheels for the spares box, to go on some kind of sci-fi vehicle. They have thin-wall hollow rubber tires that compress really easily, so working a bit of weight into the vehicvle should get a very realistic effect.

I did suggest a Modelsvit 1/72nd Tu-144 but I don't think even a bonus could make a kit of that price palatable !

Does anyone do a 72nd Il-62 VC-10ski?

Yes - HPH Models in the Czech Republic www.prodejonline.cz/1588/. It's kit number 72008L and costs 120 Euros. It has one piece fuselage and wings and I think that these are glass fibre/resin like the large Amodel kits.

NARSES2

Couple of transfer sheets from Hannants

Xtradecal sheet of RAF roundels for the 1920/1939 period

Modeldecal sheet for Hart variants. Covers 28 aircraft (not national markings). Was pointed towards this by Geoff aka EKFG as it has 12 Sqd on it for my Hendon display 1940 Battle. Given me a couple more ideas including a Defiant converted into a light/dive bomber. Fair the turret over and add internal bomb cells in the wings. Squadron badges and numbers are more then usefull for other projects as well

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
