both Emhar 1:35 a MkA Whippet   and a MkV Hermaphrodite ( more expressive than the base Mkv male or female but means I can build it as any of the 3 versions)

take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.

as I base my impressions from the 1st time I visited, its hard to say Pyro,  its better laid out,   better lit and has more stuff, but I was 8-10  the 1st time I went with my dad, an older cousin and grandfather and it was far more compact and everything was much more "together".  the fact that just a bought everything is now walk round able is brill, the vehicles look more looked after and nearly all give the impression that they are a "key turn" from working.  The shop is much better than the last time I visited ( around 2 -3 years ago) and when I mentioned this the staff said that they'd recently had a new manager ( who's deffo doing stuff right),  the food was good, reasonably priced and the restaurant was smart,  due to the amount of time to get home I didn't get a chance to visit the  restoration hall, id have loved to,  but at 5+ hours drive back it wasn't a possibility to wait till mid afternoon till it opened.   
I  hope that it keeps up the slow expansion and good effect, a I think  that some of the more experimental stuff deserves showing and id like to see more of other country's stuff on display.
but some of the best bits are still there  the sectioned Centurion for starters, which after you've walked round the display ones, shows how cramped the interior of a "working" tank is, and the shell display in front of a large number of the tanks gives a good idea of the gun / shell evolution of the tank.

Found a cheap Hobby Boss Brewster Buffalo in 1:72 - consider either a whiffy Belgian or even French aircraft, preferrence is the latter (Curtiss SBC style, before these aircraft ended up with the RAF).

Cheers to Nils for informing me that these sprues also have the AB-412 4-bladed rotor parts on them. I'd been holding out for a 412 to cannibalise for it's rotor but no need now. :thumbsup:

That's pretty rare these days OGL, but a magnificent, and complex kit.  :thumbsup:
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

After long search and patience for a reasonable offer I  have finally been able to get my hands on an Airfix OV-10D. The kit itself is rather crappy, but I am after the NOGS version (prototype). Might end up as a kitbash with an Academy OV-10D, which is a decent kit, mixing the best of both worlds...

Also hunted down a 1:35 "Powered Armor" from the Crusher Joe anime series in Mexico. One of those early 80ies "real robot" kits that has potential for something serious - I might modify it to match with my vast Dorvack PA collection, as a prototype.
