After long search and patience for a reasonable offer I  have finally been able to get my hands on an Airfix OV-10D. The kit itself is rather crappy, but I am after the NOGS version (prototype). Might end up as a kitbash with an Academy OV-10D, which is a decent kit, mixing the best of both worlds...

well done ;D

istr, that for sometime the airfix kit was one of a very few sources of hellfire missiles, but that has all
changed now. talking of which combat aircraft monthly has pictures of the latest program an OV-10 was
involved in, by the name of combat dragon II. two OV-10D from AMARC were temp' restored to flight for sensor
testing in the US this summer [or last].

Didn't you get my last one, Kit?

Much prefer his resin Hunters.  The T7 is particularly rare and a lovely kit.

I have indeed Lee, that's how I know it's so magnificent and complex.  ;D One day I'll build it, when I have a spare year anyway.....
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

a pair of AZ Spitfire Tr9 trainers arrived today from Poland via Ebay.

So how much cheaper was that than, say, ordering from Hannant, MArtin?  Serious question.

Weren't they the ones being sold off at the Aeroclub stand at Telford last year?  Would have been tempted had I not already got a Revell Hunter plus Odd & Ordnance T7 vconversion in the loft.

Have you built the T7 yet?

£9.99 each plus £3.50 shipping from this guy

compared to £12.99 plus shipping from the big H

Ive used the polsh trader a fair few times now, and always had good service.

Yes and whilst I did some test fitting, that's as far as I'm going with it for now.  I also have his early single seat Hunter.

Italeri ES-3 Shadow and Revell AH-64 Apache purchased while at RIAT. Also got a 1/72 Airfix Skyhawk as an early birthday gift. Not my scale, but I'm not going to complain when it's a present from a friend :)

one of the re-decalled airfix Me-109 G-6's, as it has swiss markings.

i think these markings will look better on a Spitfire IX.....

have also switched the version of milliput i use to standard, with much more success.

Are you sure? The Tr.8 and Tr.9 are on Hannants website at £9.40 and they had them at Duxford on Sunday at that price, along with the (much more interesting ) Soviet Mk.IX UTI

I stand corrected, if only they had any left in stock
