Also found a cheap Academy OV-10D in South Korea (free shipment) in 1:72 that will become the basis for the NOGS conversion with donation parts from the Airfix kit. Not certain if it will become the prototype (which already looks cool...) or a more whiffy service aircraft?

"Night Observation & Gunship System" - the OV-10D with the gatling turret under ist belly (instead of the stub wings).  ;D

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I was not aware that there was any other OOB kit of the OV-10D NOGS? But it looks vintage - I might assume that is just as... rustic as the Airfix offering? Or is it even the same?

It's quite possible it is the old Airfix Bronco, but modified.  I'll try to find it again and have a look at the parts for you, take some photos of it.

As it is MPC it is almost certainly ex-Airfix.
Hasegawa also did a boxing of their old A model as a D, but the only change they made was a white metal casting of the longer nose, a handy adition as the Bronco needs a LOT of nose weight in a very small space.

Got hands on a cheap Revell X-32 in 1:72 - will probably end up as donation kit for at least two mash-up projects...

You could try makfing it into the F-32 as thats quite a bit of kit bashing!

Nah, the kit lose single parts like its wings, the air intake or its cockpit to other projects - even though a conversion into a Royal Navy aircraft should look nice...  ;)
