One resin kit today: a 1:144 scale Jagd Mirage head kit. Recast of an old kit from 1996. Will look something like this:

Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

CANSO

From the Salvation Army thrift store "Anakin's podracer" in 1:32 by AMT/Ertl for 4.00$ ;  :D.
Box is open, but all parts still in the plastic bags.
Never had the idea to build this model, but the engines are superb for any kind of antigravity racer or space fighter.

zenrat

Ooooh, they'd fit nicely on the Ultimate Sky Pirate airship/galleon/B29 i'm building in my head.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Not much, two packets of Tasman 1/72 North American FJ-1 vacuform canopies (and two in a packet) were at the post office yesterday.

On which subject I ran down my book on the P-51F, G and H y'day. Maybe I'll be talking to Tasman before much longer too.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Got them through Jay's Models Kit.  Which book is that you have -- is it a Ginter book ?

The best one is from the Air Force Legends series #209, 'NA P-51H Mustang, includes XP-51F, G & J lightweight fighters' by David McLaren. But I've also got the Aeroplane Magazine 'North American Company Profile' book which also includes all four of them but not in as much detail.

From yesterday's ESM:
- Fujimi 1/24 McLaren F1. I've been waiting for this for a long time, I'm very excited there's finally a kit of this extraordinary car. The lack of engine detail is disappointing though, the Aoshima kit is better in this regard but it's a racing version. Guess I'll have to buy an Aoshima kit and use its engine.

- Academy 1/24 Lamborghini Countach LP500. To be built as the Countach 7000 concept (ca. 1986)

The Wooksta!

From Uncle Frank:

Sword Lightning F3
Sword Seafire III x 2.  The folding wings may be sacrificed for a hybrid Spitfire 12 used for navy training.

Not exactly a stash increase but modelling related none the less.

Six small paint brushes a 2/0, 3/0 3x 5/0 and a 10/0 for £5 from the Craft fair as the SECC in Glasgow yesterday.

I know it's in a book I have around here somewhere....

Captain Canada

Those pod racer engines look awesome ! Always see that kit around but never thought about spare parts....would be good engines for a supersonic A-10 maintenance diorama.
