from telford today, all 1:35
an afc club Churchill bobbin tank,
from diopark  the twin 100cc Japanese bike pack
and from Zoukei mura inc  an Edelweiss experimental tank ( I have no idea whether its from a manga or anime, but it looked utterly brill on the stall, I just wish they hadn't run out of extra crew for it, though ill pick them up later)
The Edelweiss Tank is from an anime series called Valkyria Chronicles which was based on a video game of the same name. HLJ may still have some crew in stock if you can't source them in the UK.

Moebius Battlestar Pegasus
Moebius Colonial Viper Mk.II
1/48 Academy F-22A

And.........in the last 2-3 months......and also tonight........I've been on a "stealth kick" so to speak and have bought the following:

Modeling isn't just about how good the gluing or painting, etc. looks. It's also about how creative and imaginative you can be with a subject.
My modeling philosophy is: Don't build what everyone else has done. Build instead what nobody has seen or done before.

I've just unpacked my Telford haul...

1 Tamiya Mosquito B.IV
1 Frog/Novo DH Comet racer (comes with some very nice figures, although Operation Yewtrew may look unkindly on one as he looks a bit suspect.  The other looks like Herr Flick of the Gestapo...)
1 AZ/KP Avia S199 (tangentially Plan related)
1 Pegasus Defiant TT (will be an RAF nightfighter or radar spoofer)
1 AZ Fw 190D-11 (tangentially Plan related)
1 Aoshima Ta 152H (see above - RAF markings for this one and it may get started later today)
1 Heller 43rd Jaguar XJS (goes with my Provence Moulage Astons)
2 Frog DH Hornets
1 Revellogawa He 111H plus a set of Heritage Merlins to do the Spanish one (tangentially Plan related)
1 Heller TR33 Shooting Star (been wanting one for years as a 2 seat RAF recce bird)
1 Airfix new tool Hurricane I rag wing
1 CMR Sea Vampire T.22
2 Rareplanes Blackburn Firebrand TF.5s
1 Xtrakit Meteor F8 (god knows why as I have more than enough and I'm still wanting to get shot of an Airfix one I bought a few years back.  Oh, yes.  It was a fiver.  Can never resist a bargain)
1 MPM Blenheim V from the kitswap, which I intend using for converting the Airfix Blenheim to a V.

And yes, I'll put me hands up and confess to buying a Unicraft Bv P.211A (the swept back wing one).  Been wanting a kit of that for years.

Plus some superglue, scalpel blades (15s) and something like Krystal Kleer, which I've yet to try.

From PR19Kit - Rareplane Supermarine 224.

That's about it really.

Oh, nearly forgot - just a few items relating to The Plan:
45 Spitfires (individual kits - various marks)
1 AZ Spitfire 9 Joypack
5 Seafires
1 Spiteful (Airmodel, looks like a reboxed CMR kit, the tool of which is, I strongly suspect, the origin of the original Pegasus kit and the RS Resins one)
3 Seafangs
1 Attacker
1 Swift (Xtrakit)
Plus two Brigade conversions, a Seafire XV and a Spitfire XII, although the only difference is the decals and box art as the plastic is the same in both.

I probably am certifiable...

hmm, apart from getting annoyed about the exiting arrangements from SMW  :banghead: AGAIN! :banghead: [which i will be writing to the exec' of IPMS about and the people at the International Centre too, to voice my concerns. i has to be done, btw]

i did manage to buy a few items, but it was even nicer this year to catch up with all sorts of folk, especially Nick,
Mossie and Dork the Kit Slayer and chat with a few traders i have got to know. how helpful to have principal
suppliers in the shape of freightdog and model-kraft next to the what-if? SIG stand!!!   :drink:

added, bought and given to me.....

two volumes on the wars in the congo/DRC/Zaire in recent decades by tom cooper [who also kindly signed them]

the third volume of the SAMI series on the F-4 Phantom [an end of show freebie which others took advantage of
too! and why not!!!]

1/72 azur Vautour IIN
1/72 special hobby Dougalas D558-1 [the original version]
1/53 williams brothers kit of the aircraft amelia earhart went missing in [there are other options for the same a/c type]
1/72 academy F-35A [from the pocketbond stand who threw in a free takom co' 1/35 figure too]
1/72 HP Harrow/Sparrow vacform [from alex from IPMS brampton]
1/72 hasegawa EA-6B and fujimi flightdeck handling tractor and crew [ nick!]

and several decal sheets, paint, resin and a tamiya painter's turntable. the biggest of these items was though
the excellent 1/72 scale resin conversion for the  Avro Lincoln  from Glenn Ashley of Blackbird models. this is a complex conversion but excellent one, for which i intend using the spares to wind up others and use his Mau-Mau
Campaign decal sheet [which was fought in Kenya, which was where my late mother was born] for a real lincoln.

Green Dragon / Paul   thank you for that  it may be something I have too look for.

take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.

My total haul from Telford...

Another Revell SST set for the bargain price of £12, they go for £40 on ebay!
Fuji T-1 jet trainer, a rare bargain in the kit swap and just £3.
Pioneer BI-2 Soviet rocket plane for the silly price of £1.25, too cheap to ignore.
Matchbox BAe Hawk. I got inspiration for this and a Hawk 200.

From Lift Here Models of Serbia, an IAR-99 Soim. It's a Romanian jet trainer that looks very much like a BAe Hawk but with a squarer wing....  :-\

Books:
A Fighter Pilot's Call To Arms, Stanislav Fejfar. This is a modern translation of his wartime diary. He was in the Czechoslovak Air Force in 1938, escaped the German takeover to join the French Air Force via the Foreign Legion in 1939. He was posted to North Africa, then went back to France to start shooting down the Germans, went back to Africa and then sailed for the UK. He then flew with 310 squadron during the Battle of Britain and died in 1942 flying with 313 Sqdn from RAF Hormchurch.

AFVs in Irish Service since 1922. A shop damaged copy for only £2  ;D   Over 200 pages in glossy colour.

F-4 Phantoms: Overseas Operators. Silly to turn down a freebie!

Also picked up an LED daylight bulb for my model table lamp. It's much brighter and clearer than the standard bulb with less yellowy shadows formed.

NARSES2

Well back from Telford after a bit of rotten journey, although no where as delayed as the journey up  :-\

Only added 1 kit ! RS 1/72 Bloch MB 151 - and thanks to Jim for explaining the reason for the name change from MB to Dassault. I had the completely wrong end of the stick :banghead:

1 Book - Japanese Secret Projects V2

Loads of tools and other ancillaries inc. some Uschi Van de Rosen stuff, loads of paint and some brush cleaner from Delux Materials which I shall report back on.

So apart from the book, which I wasn't aware of, the plan was adhered to  There was nothing really that I needed kit wise but I did spend a lot on the other stuff so a different set of traders got my money for a change. Mainly those with attractive young ladies serving  ;D

Airfix however look as though they will be getting a fair bit of dosh from me over the next few months with their forthcoming kits
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Green Dragon / Paul   thank you for that  it may be something I have too look for.

If you're referring to Valkyria Chronicles, I wouldn't bother. It was a pretty poor series tbh.
