Yeah, I had a similar project in mind in 1/72nd, using a 105mm L7 gun, but I was talking to M60 vets on Tanknet at the time and they quickly pointed out the flaw in my plan.

You could always make it a proper fire support vehicle, with a low-velocity 105mm howitzer and, say a co-axial 20mm, both with high elevation. Some of the guys on Tanknet had spent their careers arguing in vain for something like that against the "anti-armour is everything" lobby.

Hiding a tin of paint from SWMBO is easy, but how do you manage it with an Il-62 kit?

Dead easy! She was still in Glasgow when I got home, however other times I just walk in and say "I got this".

hmm, at this point does Mrs JayBee go steely eyed and plot her revenge?  ;D or is she just used to these things?

A Bandai 1:100 MG "Buster" Gundam, from a member of a related Facebook group. Big robot, with big guns. But oddly, I'm going to modify it to a close-combat specialised version, with nearly no ranged weapons at all.
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
