A cheap Matchbox Wellesley, at last! Thinking about retrograding it into a biplane...

That's what I'd thought of doing, trouble is if you rummage around on the web you'll find
That vickers have already done that: the Vickers type 253 ;D

Curse you Barnes Wallis!!!  :banghead:
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

Uh, that's ugly! My idea is to raise the upper wings above the fuselage, though, still not concrete... but at least I have the fuselage to work with!

Woo hoo!  Can't wait to see what you do to it.  Triplanes are good...

I received today, from Elhiem figures four chopper gunners, three 1970's dudes and two Mujahadeen technical gunners.
All 1/72 white metal.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

An MPM Focke Wulf Fw 189 B-0 in 1:72, the trainer version with a solid nose.

I think about putting it on floats (maybe with a torpedo under the belly?) - which was actually envisaged!

that would be a good idea methinks!  i've used a brazillian produced F-5 two seater resin conversion
kit to produce a bahraini AF F-20B several years back. remember they actually placed an order for four F-20's but
this was too small to open the production line after the two protoypes had been built in the early 1980s.

Hurrah! It's finally arrived ;D
From Freightdog two Hawker Hunter F.6 Blue Jay conversion sets
Which consist of; 1 pointy nose, two Firestreaks with pylons and a F.6 tail cone
In case you only have a Revell FGA.9 kit.
Of course there's nothing stopping you Producing a Blue Jay Armed F.9...
Looks excellent in their boxes. Now of course comes the difficult bit, actually
Putting it all together....
And then there's choosing which Sqn to operate them

The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

From the Big H via R.M. in under 48 hours . The new tool Airfix Do 17z which looks really, really nice in the box. This one will be real BoB but I may get another one to wif. Dutch had 215's ? and I love the Dutch camo scheme so a Dutch 17z ? Maybe one that had landed in Holland whilst that country was still neutral ?

Recieved at the model club Christmas party/Gift Exchange today a WWII U.S. tank. I don't remember the name right now, but if I find it online, I'll post again later. Since I don't build WWII stuff, I gave it to another model friend when I got home.
Since the party was held at a hobby store, I also looked on the shelves and bought a Revell 1/144 Sea Shadow model ship which I wanted really badly, and also a AMT 1/3300 scale Star Trek Deep Space Nine space station kit. This appears to be a new kit where all the parts are molded in clear styrene.  Now all I need to find are some similar scale starships to dock alongside the station.
Modeling isn't just about how good the gluing or painting, etc. looks. It's also about how creative and imaginative you can be with a subject.
My modeling philosophy is: Don't build what everyone else has done. Build instead what nobody has seen or done before.

Picked up the new Airfix Dornier Do-17z from the local Model Shop. Wow what a well detailed kit

Camo and orange Do 17

Or would it be the tri-colour roundel?

If it's an impounded one then orange triangles, if pre war then the roundel and if it went to the NEIAF and served post March ? 1942 then it would have the Dutch national flag marking which is my fav

Follow the example of the Do-24: put P&W engines on it, change a few other random things, and claim it's from a small pre-war Dutch order, only a few of which got delivered.
