Anyone know if such a thing is available after-market? Thinking of a KC-141.

Some of the Academy kits have them. Pretty sure the KC-97 ? I know the KC-135 certainly does ! Should be easy enough to replicate with a plastic rod and sheet styrene tho.

Yeah, was thinking of grabbing the Academy KC-97 if I see one.

Got the Dragon kit somewhere in the stash. Haven't pulled it out in years.

I just dug that KC-97G kit out of the half-built pile, and it's really nothing to write home about. Other than a bit of taper at the end that attaches to the aeroplane. Having said that, you can have it if you want it ! PM me the mailing addy.

Yeap you can use the Freightdog AEW conversion on the kit itself  ;D

The Revell KC-10 kit has the 'High Speed' boom, quite often with a smaller jet to hang on the end, an F-15, Tornado or F-117 are most common. Just ignore the fact that no Tornado actually uses a boom to refuel......
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

If I did shows, that would definitely be a good one to get people thinking around here !

That'd be 'Upper Heyford' maybe, as worn by the 20th TFW F-111Es before both they and the base departed and closed.

And I believe in flying pigs as much as I believe in the liklihood of the US DoD even THINKING about buying Tornadoes.
