Look for some good quality Red Tops in 1/72 to replace some crappy ones I got in an Eastern Express Sea Vixen kit.

I will of course be willing to pay for them and postage via PayPal to downunder.

Hi, do you want the ones with the triangulair shaped aft control vanes or the ones with the straight vanes?  I can't recognise the red top from the firestreak.....Yeah, my bad... :banghead:

Anyway, i got 2 red tops from the trumpeter lightning with launchrails available and 6 firestreaks from the airfix lightning....ok, another missie, hut then again an dehavilland missile...

Cheers, David

Actually, they do two sets, not sure what the difference is because there's no photo of the products on the website.  I've written an email to find out.

Not quite.

The clear sprue in the Airfix F2A kit has both Firestreak AND Red Top nose cones but only Firestreak airframes on the main sprues. Presumably that allows them to use the same clear sprue for the forthcoming F6.

You could Whiff the missiles themselves by putting the round nosecones on the Firestreak missile bodies I guess....

I was interested in this so did a google image search.  I've found a photo of two Firestreaks, one has the pointed nose cone and one has a round nose cone.  So not a whiff after all

That'll have been a development round I bet.

There's a protoype for EVERYthing somewhere, even if it's only in 1/72 scale.  ;D

Are you sure that's a round nose, and not just an incomplete missile?

I couldn't say, the photo was taken by OzH (on Britmodeler) in the Cobham Hall
