Just to confuse matters, the Genet Major I had five cylinders like the Genet.  The Genet Major IA was the one with seven cylinders and to confuse things further, was also known as the Civet I.

Civet I was the military designation.   ;D

Found a little bit more on the Tiger Moth Fighter in the Flight archive, with an pic showing the view from the cockpit.  Machine gun is described as a 7.92mm.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Hah!  ;D

I LOVE the method of testing to see if the bullets hit the prop! Bolt a large disc on behind the prop and see where the holes end up!  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
