are you doing it wheels up or are you gonna wonder how the hell to give enough ground clearence like i did lol

I might have a cunning plan for the wheels.....
of course if it doesn't work, wheels up is always an option

i came up with something that sounds daft but was actually used for real lol

Check out the Crimson Skies Wiki website. Lots of pictures of the aircraft there and the designers never let details like balance get in their way!

Griffourn ?

Some of the wing mounted extended wheel options on Harrier kits would be good for a quick 'long leg' at the rear !

Quick update, to show fin and tail planes fitted.

As you can see, top fin and tailplanes is nicked from a Spitfire F.22/24, and the bottom fin from a Spitfire P.R.19
We like to keep it in the family ;D

The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

Well, I've stolen your idea, TallEng, & run with it in a somewhat different direction.

It's been my "laptop" build during my 1st 2 weeks home - while I'm not allowed to break out the big stuff.

It's all together except a few bits & pieces but I'll be working on the landing gear in a minute - the original gear is so short it's laughable.

Unfortunately I didn't pick up on that until I tried fitting them last night. Only took a couple of hours but I now have a real engineered solution which I'm going to start work on in a few minutes.

Photo for here soon.

I'm calling mine the Supermarine Surefire.

Laptop build?
Won't the keyboard get full of sanding dust, and eat all the little bits you drop?
And I'm not sure the flat screen is strong enough to use as a cutting board ;D
And if your running in a different direction does that mean Canard? Hmmm.....
I like that idea  ;D
Looking forward to the proper engineered landing gear
And I like the name idea, maybe mine will become the Supermarine Swiftfire?

Sneak preview of my Supermarine Surefire. ;D

This is going to be a post-war version (with back story) in its own thread.... Soon.... I hope.

Thanks for letting me borrow your space, TallEng!

PS: The landing gear engineering is good, my unaided, bespectacled construction abilities ain't. :-\
