Got stampeded by willow-thwacking-leather lovers down St John's Wood on my way to the hospital. MCC ties, panamas and pukkas galore. One day I'll understand this game.....

You don't have to understand the game, just the way to the bar  Says Chris who's off to Arundel Sunday

Glad to hear the prognosis is good

To quote the late, great Brian Glover, "This is rumour control...". I've been discharged (ooh err) and currently convalescing....OK, it bl**dy hurts and I feel like I've got perma-flu but I should be right as rain in a couple of weeks. I'll never, ever judge a morphine addict again....it really is phenomenal stuff as long as you don't abuse it. The only negative effect of the op is having to let gravity do the job when on the loo....all else is impossible ;D.

I'll be back on the plastic asap .

Welcome back.

Take it from me, the first time you regain the ability to push is a good day.

I've broken Doctor's orders and being doing some very limited fiddling. The good thing is that  the right hand shake has gone ;D.

Watched "Rush" last night, fantastic....had me on the edge of my seat at moments. Howard is a very good director (and his daughter's a babe ) . In 1976, as a family, we were invited by some dignitary to go see the Grand Prix at La Jarama outside Madrid. I know I met Lauda and Hunt etc but back then all I was interested in was Scheckter and his six wheeled Tyrrell P34. So far this has been the only non-military vehicle I've ever built as a model....some of the threads I'm reading are tempting me to try some more.

I'll post some pictures when things have moved along a bit.

Green with envy mode full ON!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Didn't like the Ta152 floatplane...too real, and the Mohawk went beyond hacking me off so both have been nixed. Been working on these two. A floatplane version of a fighter I built some time ago and an escort fighter for a 'pondracer' recon plane, again completed some time ago:

I was going to use a P-38 but I've come to the final conclusion that it's a plane I really don't like too much. Looks a bit snazzier with Hornet wings and cockpit.

Pond Racer's had a makeover. Longer gear legs, smaller vertical stabilisers and a new paint-job. She's now got a dedicated partner, a low-altitude hunter-killer team looking for vehicles etc under thick canopy (think Ho Chi Minh trail):

I'll varnish and decal them later as I haven't decided on markings yet. Time to get on with that floatplane ;D.

Suitably weird, I like 'em!
