Two shades of green - either the old British Sea Green plus Sky undersides or the two shades of green (Dark Green/Lichen Green) worn by early Harrier GR.5s

Quick question/poll, should the SHar be gray or green?

It has to be overall 'Irish seafire green'!!!
That will start a whole new debate on exactly what shade of green that is! ;D
Cheers... Ray

Barley grey, with a light grey underside, and dark grey radome.

What Major Ray said, that colour is so generically Irish.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

Well, she's mostly put together, just needs a few more tweaks and such and she'll get paint!

Ray, waiting on the decals for the Brewster, which I just got today, in the mail. I have a few other A/C that will be Irish once I get them, but fear not, once the Brewster is done, the Harrier will follow shortly.

The Brewster being a Revell reboxing of its original, I think, will be fun to put together, as it looks to need a bit of TLC to get it worthy of being IAC.
A question for those out there experienced with WW2 IAC aircraft, most IAC Aircraft were camouflaged on top with Aluminium Dope or Natural metal undersides. Would the Irish have continued this with the Brewster either as a Lend/Lease from GB or the USA, or would they have put a "Sky" color on the underside? As these would most likely be arriving anywhere from 1940-42, I thought I'd just throw that out there...

List of things I need to do, to the Brewster Buffalo, to make it better:

Add exhaust to the cowling
Add Round RF antenna
Add "Rollbar"
Add Wing MGs
Bore out MG divots and add MGs to cowl
Replace front windscreen, or add a clear substance to the front of the windscreen to cover the hole for the tube gunsight
Add Instrument pannel
Create and add British Gunsight
Find a decent enough looking pilot and add, if anyone has one of the Snap-together B-25 pilots, that would work for an IAC pilot, methinks
Sand and fill areas that will need it
Etc.

Will,
i'll get those sorted for you in the next day or so. Having a few problems with the DeVille, and as it's me only transport, apart from the trike at the moment, it took all of my attention! As for IAC camo! Likely to have worn whatever it was delivered in! Probably standard RAF scheme, or, whatever the 'original' intended customer scheme was. Although, quite like the idea of a colourful yellow wing pre war USN scheme myself! ;D
Cheers... Ray

Ray,
I'll be using the IAC Standard camouflage of the period, Green and Brown with Aluminium undersides, most likely.

The colours should be the "official" IAC colours of:

Green: "Tis the green of a soft Irish Meadow in the Spring Time".
Brown: "Tis the Golden colour of her hair in the early summer sunshine".
Blue: "Tis the colour of her sparking eyes in the late summer evening".

Alle kunst ist umsunst wenn ein engel auf das zundloch brunzt!!

Sic biscuitus disintegratum!

Cats are not real.
They are just physical manifestations of collisions between enigma & conundrum particles.

Any aircraft can be improved by giving it a SHARKMOUTH!

Okay, lads, had a bit of schooling crawl into the way, and now that summer is officially upon those of us in the great wet northwest, yes, it's actually dry at the moment. I will be in "the cave" starting the Brewster, finishing the Harrier, and other models, while juggling school. Wish me luck, updates in the next few days!
