Whose paints have you used on her ? I use White Ensign for Soviet (and French) colours

I'm an unreconstructed Humbrol Enamel Man. I've occasionally used acrylics with a brush but all my airbrushing is with Humbrol enamels. The colours here are Humbrol 127 (light grey), Humbrol 106 (dark grey) and Humbrol 55 (light blue). The whole model was also airbrushed with Klear before the decals were applied and then with Klear mixed with Tamiya Flat Base, which toned it down slightly.

The contrast between the greys is possibly a bit too great, but I like the overall effect and I use these colours on all my late war Soviet fighters.

Looks great!  Like the camo, don't know why, but I was expecting a silver finish.

I saw a very nice CGI rendering of the VRD in aluminium, but after all the sanding and filling, I didn't fancy trying it on this!

Yeah, I fully understand!  Seeing all those Soviet early cold war jet projects, I just couldn't see past silver/NMF in my head, camouflage just didn't even enter my little brain!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Right, thanks

I can recommend White Ensign. They are the only enamels I use for main camo painting (I'm an acrylic man in the main) and are very, very good. Drying time is probably the same as Humbrol.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
