Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Gondor's Modelling Rule Number Three: Everything will fit perfectly untill you apply glue...

I know it's in a book I have around here somewhere....

Wonderful!

And it was 1959 too, for goodness sake! It looks like it was taken in the mid to late 70s.

Looks like digital conversion of somebody's personal films aka 'home movies', probably 8mm - maybe 16mm,
as the image quality pretty much looks like the 8mm family collection that I got converted for my folks at Xmas.  ;D

Somehow or other we ended up with my Dad's former brother-in-law Roland's films of his Pacific Cruise on the
U.S.S. Boxer in the early fifties which includes footage of flight deck ops of a Skyraider, a HUP and several
Panthers in addition to 'sailors about town' stuff in Hawai'i etc.
Neat period colour footage. ;)
