The F35 can't fly the Atlantic

Strange comment, it can fly over the Atlantic as well as any Tornado or Typhoon ---  and will do ---

The Lanc BTW, had to land at Gander, then Iceland before making it to the UK afaik

Well the F35 failed to make IAT or Farnborough this year.

Those vids are amazing, real 'lump in the throat' time.  

One of the Coastal Command Squadrons at RAF Topcliffe was still flying Lancasters when I lived there, age 8 or so, but I can't recall ever seeing two flying together.
